Meet your activity leader: Kate
Hi friends! My name is Kate and I'm from Moscow. I really love my country and my city and I'm eager to share my love with you. I enjoy meeting people from all over the world, we're so different but we can always learn something new from each other. It's time to get rid of stereotypes, so I invite you to explore our capital, to get acquainted with its inhabitants and to learn more about its history. Beautiful architecture, city legends, jokes invented by Muscovites years ago - walking through the streets of Moscow can turn into a fascinating journey to the past.
What to expect
Moscow is a city of contrasts. Modern and ancient, busy and quiet, noisy and silent at the same time, it has something special for everyone. During our tour we shall see some completely different places, but all of them are exciting. Small churches resembling gingerbread houses, chambers of the XVII century and huge constructivist buildings of the Stalin's epoque… Bohemian ambiance of Red October - former chocolate factory, now a centre of arts and cultural life, overlooking the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour on the opposite bank of the river, solemn and majestic monument to Russian warriors… Please do not forget your camera - there will be a wonderful view from the bridge!
